Care Home Program

Rawalpindi is one of Pakistan’s largest and most densely populated cities, located in the province of Punjab alongside the capital city, Islamabad. Often known as a historic garrison city, Rawalpindi is home to a diverse and rapidly growing population. While parts of the city have experienced development and urban expansion, many communities continue to face significant economic hardship. Thousands of families live below the poverty line, struggling to meet basic daily needs such as healthcare, nutritious food, and stable housing.

For many elderly individuals in Rawalpindi, poverty is compounded by isolation. Rapid urbanisation, migration for work, and financial pressures have left a growing number of older people without consistent family support. Some seniors live alone with chronic illnesses, while others rely entirely on charitable care homes for shelter, medical attention, and companionship. Limited resources mean that many care facilities operate under constant strain, often lacking essential medicines and adequate healthcare supplies for their residents.

Recognising these urgent needs, ARQ Foundation stepped in to provide meaningful support. The foundation delivered essential medicines and medical supplies to a local care home in Rawalpindi, helping ensure that vulnerable elderly residents received the treatment and care they urgently required. This support eased the burden on caregivers and improved the wellbeing of residents who depend on regular medication to manage ongoing health conditions.

Through this initiative, ARQ Foundation not only addressed immediate medical needs but also reaffirmed a commitment to dignity, compassion, and community care. By supporting the care home, the organisation helped protect some of society’s most vulnerable individuals, people who might otherwise be left without access to basic healthcare or human connection.

ARQ Foundation continues to work towards strengthening communities by responding to urgent needs and supporting those who are often overlooked, ensuring that hope and care reach those who need it most.
